The
top cited papers for 2005 compiled by SPIRES is out. As always the first in the list is the PDG review of particle physics followed by two WMAP papers. The first string paper appears in position number 7 and is Maldacena's AdS/CFT paper which is followed by the Randall-Sundrum papers. In the
alltime cited papers the first three are the usual ones, PDG, Weinberg and KM paper. And Maldacena's paper is in fourth position, the same as in 2004. Interpretions on how these numbers represent the end on particle physics can be found
